The Defenders is a 2010 American legal comedy-drama that runs on CBS for the 2010–11 television season. The one-hour series premiered on September 22, 2010, and currently airs on Fridays at 8:00 pm Eastern/7:00 pm Central. It is a re-imagining of the original 1961 series that also aired on CBS.
